Last call for feedback on Denver’s new cultural plan

DENVER — Nov. 4, 2013 — Denver Arts & Venues invites residents to provide one last round of feedback on the Imagine 2020 project to create a new cultural plan for the City and County of Denver.

More than seven months of public input has yielded seven “Vision Elements” that will guide the plan. Each vision element includes potential strategies that may be included in the plan’s implementation throughout the next seven years.

Arts & Venues is seeking endorsements of strategies to learn which ones are most important to members of the community. A public meeting to discuss the strategies and collect endorsements will be held this evening.

What: Imagine 2020 public meeting for final feedback
When: Monday, Nov. 4, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Where: McNichols Civic Center Building, 144 W. Colfax Ave.

For those unable to attend, feedback can be given online until Nov. 22 at ImagineDenver2020.org.

Additionally, the meeting will be aired on Denver 8 at the following times:
• Nov. 7, 11 a.m.
• Nov. 8, 8:30 p.m.
• Nov.  9, 8 p.m.
• Nov. 11, 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• Nov. 14, 10 p.m.
• Nov. 16, 10:30 p.m.
• Nov. 18, 9 a.m.
• Nov. 21, 10 a.m.

The cultural plan’s development is funded by Arts & Venues with support from the Office of Economic Development and the Mayor’s Office. The city has retained Corona Insights, a Denver-based consulting firm that specializes in research, analytics and strategy, to facilitate the process.

The plan is due to be completed in the spring of 2014.
