OCTOBER 25, 2013 (DENVER, CO) — Greybeard Promotions, Inc. and O’Reilly Auto Parts are pleased to present The 17th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Rocky Mountain Auto Show, better known as the Crème de la Chrome of the Rockies. Denver’s most notable Thanksgiving weekend tradition will take place Friday, November 29, 2013 through Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Colorado Convention Center located at 700 14th Street in Denver, Colorado.

Advance discount tickets will be available beginning November 1, 2013 at participating O’Reilly Auto Parts stores. Adult tickets will be sold for $10.00 and tickets for children (ages 6-12) will be sold for $3. Tickets will also be available for purchase online for greater convenience at http://www.crè, as well as a discounted family pack will be offered online (2 adults and 2 children (ages 6-12)). A military discount will be offered on-site at the event (must show military ID).

This year’s event will include an interactive feature that has never taken place at The Rocky Mountain Auto Show, a live automotive auction of specialty collector vehicles hosted by Superior Collector Car Auctions. Previewing for the auction will take place on Friday, November 29, 2013 and the live auction is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 30, 2013 between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

In keeping with tradition, The 17th Annual Rocky Mountain Auto Show will present a live automotive art gallery featuring the creations of over 25 of the most talented artists in the industry. Live art demonstrations will take place all weekend. This year’s event will hold a silent art auction with proceeds from the auction being donated to On Target 4 Veterans (OT4V), a non-profit organization that provides funding to support and mentor disabled veterans through adaptive sports and recreational therapy.
Other features included in this year’s event include a special display highlighting the Hot Rod Hill Climb, an event held in Georgetown, CO and dating back to 1953 which pinned hot rods and race cars, their engines and capable drivers against one another as they competed for the fastest time up the winding 2.5-mile dirt course (which is now known as Guanella Pass).

Another homage will be paid to The Rollin’ Dreams Foundation, which was formed in honor of Austin Williams, a teen who battled Rhabdomyosarcoma Cancer (commonly referred to as RMS). Austin’s dying wish was to own his “dream car”, a 1972 Chevy Chevelle, which he was able to live out at The 16th Annual Rocky Mountain Auto Show before passing in March of 2013. Since then, Austin’s parents founded the Rollin’ Dreams Foundation to share his passion for cars and provide fun activities for kids fighting cancer.

Additionally, the event will showcase millions of dollars’ worth of cars, trucks and motorcycles and include over 75 automotive-related vendors. Many of the vehicles have been featured at nationally recognized auto shows throughout the year.

The 17th Annual Rocky Mountain Auto Show is so well-rounded and diverse that it captures the attention of people of all ages and automotive backgrounds throughout the United States. Spectators can expect to see anything from mint condition originals to the most imaginative custom creations.

The 17th Annual Rocky Mountain Auto Show’s “Crème de la Chrome” award winner will receive a cash prize in the sum of $5,000 and national recognition. Additionally, the winner will be enshrined on the one-of-a-kind trophy, a personal trophy replicating the 8 foot tall original and a personalized winner’s jacket.
