Thirty-One Gifts 2015 Conference Comes to Denver, Brings Social Movement

Denver - Thirty-One Gifts, one of the nation’s largest direct sales companies, is preparing to paint Denver pink as more than 5,000 of their independent sales consultants attend the company’s international conference being held in Denver July 17 – 20.

Thirty-One is the 28th largest direct sales company in the world and 14th in the U.S. Last year, they were named the fastest-growing woman-owned company in the world (by the Women Presidents’ Organization). This is the second year they are holding their conference in Denver, at the Pepsi Arena and Colorado Convention Center.

Thousands of high-energy, eager women will:

“This is the second year in a row for us to hold our conference in Denver,” said Thirty-One Founder, President & CEO Cindy Monroe. “The city welcomed us warmly last year, and we are so pleased to return here to celebrate, encourage and reward our independent sales consultants. We also plan to share our heart while here with our #31Share movement and help feed the hungry in Denver.”

The #31Share movement is a social movement, whereby Thirty-One Gifts encourages their sales consultants at the conference, as well as the citizens of Denver, to perform random acts of kindness to others, post to social media using the (hashtag) #31Share, and, in turn, Thirty-One will donate 31 cents to the Food Bank of the Rockies, up to $10,000.

At their conference in Denver in 2014, they conducted the same campaign and donated $10,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver.

Thirty-One also will be behind hundreds of random acts of kindness as they aim to surprise and delight patrons in downtown Denver with gift certificates or prepaid tabs as a thank you for sharing regular hot spots during their four-day conference. Last year, hundreds of people were treated to free lunches at food trucks, free coffee and donuts, free admission to the zoo, and more, and were encouraged to perform a random act of kindness to others as part of the movement. 

“Our #31Share movement is a way for us to pay back the many blessings we’ve received as a company,” said Monroe. “It’s also a way to pay it forward and thank the people of Denver for sharing their city with us this week.”

The city of Denver is involved in #31Share by having the Blue Bear mascot hand out miniature blue bears downtown.

Thirty-One also will host Pink Heals during their conference for the people of Denver to visit. Pink Heals is a national nonprofit organization founded and run by fire fighters who volunteer to travel across the country in a big pink firetruck as part of their annual Pink Heals Tour. The group raises money for women in need in the local community. Visitors may sign their names to the fire truck in honor or in memory of a woman they know. The fire truck will be in Denver on Sunday and Monday, July 19 and 20, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the California Street parking lot across from the Colorado Convention Center.

Women from 46 states and Canada will attend the conference, resulting in an estimated $8.5 million economic impact on the community, in addition to the community support it will provide. Thirty-One has more than 1,600 sales consultants in Colorado.
