Opened in 1990, with more than 100 professional meeting planners working together with architects to design every aspect of the building, the result was simple; a sensible, state-of-the-art facility with easy traffic flow and everything you need in a stunningly beautiful building in the heart of downtown Denver. Expanded in 2005, The Colorado Convention Center is well-known as one of the most practical and “user friendly” meeting facilities.
Now for those hidden treasures.
# 1. You won't miss this first stop when walking through in our main entrance. Situated in the heart of our lobby, this is featured as our hidden treasure #1 due to the fact that you can find all the information on Denver's hidden treasures at the VISIT DENVER information hub. Looking to experience one of Denver's microbreweries? Stop and talk to the people that know and love Denver to get the true experience while here for your event.
#2. Look around. Public art is everywhere. Explore the public art inside the convention center with this map made just for you.
#3. The electronics most likely need a boost after a day of breakout sessions. These state of the art charging stations can't be missed. Located in our main concourse and in our 600/200 meeting room hallways, this is a way to supercharge your phone and laptops.
#4. Printing, shipping, packaging and more on your to do list? The UPS Store located in concourse A offers a variety of services tailored to help you make the best of event at the Colorado Convention Center.
#5. Hanging out in between breakout sessions doesn't mean you should miss checking out the voice of the Convention Center (AKA, Blue Bear). If you engage with your event via Twitter, go ahead and tag us! You never know when we may RT you.
#6. Hidden treasure #6 comes in two different sizes. Denver's icon can be yours if you visit our gift shop located in concourse A. Find yourself too busy during event day? Place an order on our website.
#7. With two Denver B-cycle stations located right outside the convention center, this is great
way to experience the crisp fresh air of the Mile High City. Find each station outside our main entrance at 14th and Stout and 14th and Welton. Denver B-Cycle is amongst the largest bike sharing program in the U.S. and is accessible for all who enjoy a nice bike ride through the city.
