The ASICS Colorado Crossroads is a USA Volleyball girls' Junior National Qualifier held annually in Denver, Colorado. As one of the largest girls' volleyball tournaments in the country.
Play begins at 8:00AM on Saturday, March 4, 2017 for Week 1 and 8:00AM on Friday, March 10, for Week 2.
Play on Day 1 and Day 2 of each weekend is pool play in wave format. The morning pools (wave) begin at 8:00AM and the afternoon pools (wave) begin at 3:00PM on Days 1 and 2.
Teams playing in the AM Wave on Day 1 do NOT necessarily play in the AM wave on Day 2; Day 2 and Day 3 play time assignments depend on the team’s pool finish the previous day.
Depending on the number of teams in a division, there may be additional matches for some teams in the evening of either Day 1 or Day 2 (or both). After the finish of the Day 1 pools, further play depends on the team’s pool finish.
Day 3 of each weekend is a combination of pool play and bracket play, or single elimination bracket play, depending on the team’s standing at the end of Day 2.
(See the USAV Qualifier Manuals for further information).
The last round of matches on Day 3 each weekend is scheduled to begin at 2:00PM. However, play usually runs late on Day 3 of the tournament, so we recommend that you schedule any flights departing from Denver International Airport at 6:00PM or later. (The airport is about a 45 minute drive from the Convention Center in good weather and normal traffic; bad weather or traffic problems add to that time).
Specific play times for specific teams is published the week of the tournament after seeding is completed and teams are assigned to pools for Day 1.
Coolers and personal chairs are not allowed in the Convention Center. Seating is provided at each court for spectators.
