Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly (RA) 2026

The 2026 National Education Association Representative Assembly (RA) will be held in Denver, Colorado, from July 3rd to July 7th. This annual event is the largest democratic deliberative assembly in the world, where delegates from across the nation gather to set the agenda for the NEA.

The RA in Denver will be a key event for educators to discuss and make decisions on issues impacting public education and the profession, according to the NEA. It’s a chance for members to engage in discussions, debate new business items, and develop strategies for advocacy and action, says the NEA Rhode Island. The agenda often includes sessions on strategic planning, budget hearings, and various professional development opportunities, notes the National Education Association.

Over the course of eight business sessions spanning four days, RA delegates debate the vital issues that impact American public education and set Association policy and activities for the year ahead.
